Upon review a Facebook page containing reNew East Arkansas in which the Easter Counties are involved in many projects.  Upon click on Phillips County Mr. Doug Friedlander names appear with no updates or information.  A continued project that he has with the Phillips Chamber of Commerce Sites.  I did review an article regarding an award for the Civil War Helena Program issued by Southern Bancorp (no Doug Friedlander there) and a community trying to understand what did take place at this meeting.  Read further up the page and whoa and behold two articles on Doug Friedlander please read them below.  This one man wonder who per article after article he is turning the community around well what has he down.  How many different agencies is his salary paid and his expenses.
These type of self promotion causes only benefit Mr. Friedlander.  I am asking know to see what has been done over the past year to improve business and community relations that does not involve his personal life.  this articles are posted over and over again.  Who is approving these releases on behalf of Phillips County

What does Doug Friedlander do for reNew Arkansas? I see all but one other county who does not have a director active. Who pays his expenses and salary for this position? Check out the site http://www.reneweastarkansas.com/communities/phillips

Upon reading a recent story about Thrive in Helena, Arkansas http://talkbusiness.net/2013/09/in-helena-these-entrepreneurs-thrive-by-design/  the story seems to be the same article that appears in every magazine, newspaper, and internet site.  This time they bring the issue of the long history of non-profit abuse and fraud in the county.

Hmmm, if I am reading their tax returns correctly, two of the directors received per their 1099 IRS tax filing in 2011  the amount of $38,150.00 each for a total of $76,300.00 and per their 990 filing form per line 12 salaries, benefits, and compensation are $32,614.00 and when you add them together they total $108,914.00.  Per line 9 their total revenue is $117,704.00.  Leaves very little money for rent, insurance, professional fees, etc.  So in fact, most grant, donations, and revenues does go to pay salary and or compensation to the board members.

Like that quote from the Movie Sister Act "You better wake up and pay attention."
